Mr. Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan is the driving force behind Transworld Group. A graduate in Commerce from the University of Mumbai, he has over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience including hands-on involvement with ship owning, chartering and ship management. His extensive, variegated stints, handling all facets of running shipping and allied businesses in the Indian subcontinent is brought to bear on operations of the Group.
He was awarded ‘The Marine Personality of the Year’ in 2011 at the Maritime And Logistics Awards, and named ‘Indian CEO of the Year’ in 2012. Prestigious global business publication Forbes recognised Mr. Ramakrishnan as one of the ‘Top Indian Leaders in the Middle East’ in 2013 and as one of the ‘Top Indian Leaders in the Arab World’ in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Mr. S Mahesh
Mr. S Mahesh, a Graduate in Commerce from the University of Mumbai, has hands on experience in ship owning and ship management. In addition, he has expertise in International Trading. He is presently based at Singapore and overlooks the activities of the Transworld Group of Companies in Far East countries. The Transworld Group of Companies has been able to expand its presence in these countries due to his expertise and vast experience.
Mr. V Ramnarayan
Mr. V Ramnarayan is a Graduate in Science from the University of Mumbai with a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management. He heads the operations of the Transworld Group of Companies in India. He has over 25 years of experience in the container shipping industry. He has to his credit the handling experience of the first container service which commenced from India. His experience covers all aspects of shipping like commercial, technical, etc.
Mr. Ritesh S Ramakrishnan

Experienced in all aspects of business formation, operation and management, Ritesh S. Ramakrishnan, Joint Managing Director, joined the Group in the year 2010. He has since been instrumental in leading the strategy, planning, implementation and business development activities of the Transworld Group. He directly oversees the international operations of the Group companies and currently spearheads Avana Logistek.
A graduate from Purdue University, USA with a B.Sc in Logistics and a double minor in communication and finance in 2009, to further hone his leadership skills, he successfully graduated from the Programme for Leadership Development at Harvard business school in 2017 and have received a certificate for Galbraith’s Shipping Course from Galbraith’s Limited . He is also serving as a member of YPO Dubai Downtown Chapter. At such an early stage in his entrepreneurial journey he was named as one of the ‘Top Indian Leaders: The Next Generation 2018’ and ‘Top Indian Leaders 2017: The Next Generation’, respectively, by Forbes, Middle East. He was also recognised as a ‘Global Next Generation Business Leader’ in the Lloyds List in 2015. He has been a Director in the Board since May 30, 2012.

Mr. L B Culas, a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Shipbroker, has a cumulative maritime experience of over 25 years. He has served abroad for many years on various types of cargo vessels as an Engineer, including four years as Chief Engineer. He also possesses extensive shore experience which includes various aspects of Container Feeder Business, right from sourcing the right kind of vessel to the actual running of the service.
Ms. Geeta Ramakrishnan

Ms. Geeta Ramakrishnan is a member of the Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers and joined the group in 1989. She is an experienced Personnel Practitioner with a comprehensive and strategic understanding of Human Resource Management from the School of Industrial and Labour Relations - Cornell University New York. She is responsible for building a successful human resources function at Transworld and oversees the daily activities and initiatives to help strengthen employees role in the company, the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies and programmes for the group.

Mr. Subramanian Jagdeesh is the CFO of Transworld Group , he began his career with Transworld in 2003. He subsequently became the groups Chief Financial Officer where he is primarily responsible for the groups financial activity. He is also the treasurer of the UAE Ship Owners Association. Mr. Subramanian learned his CA from India and CPA from the United States and is also as Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.

Capt V K Singh, Master Mariner by profession has sailing experience of 20 years, worked in various capacities as deck officer including six years of command experience and served on various types of merchant vessels sailing across the seas calling Indian and Foreign ports. He has over 21 years of experience of working in various capacities in the Transworld Group of Companies mainly Shreyas Shipping and Logistics Ltd, overseeing vessel owning division, commercial and operations. He has played a significant role in the development of coastal feeder services as well as coastal domestic trade in India.

Mr. S Varadarajan, a post graduate in Commerce and PG Diploma in Financial Management & Dipl. Tax Laws. He is having 30 years of rich experience in Shipping & Logistics Industry. He was heading Agency co. of Italian Shipping Line for more than a decade & was elevated as CEO. A project leader who was instrumental in the group’s CFS ventures with CONCOR and Transworld Group’s own CFS in Mundra.
Since 2008 heading SHREYAS RELAY SYSTEMS LTD., a Multi Modal Logistic Company of the Transworld Group involved in international and domestic Container Liner Service serving the Indian trade. In his leadership, the company has positioned as a Lead Logistic Provider in India and establishes itself as a major player in all modes like sea, air, road & rail. He is striving to bring in best trade practices in the Indian Logistics Industry to make it competitive, cost effective and meet international standards.

Capt Milind K Patankar is an Extra Master Mariner and a Fellow of The Nautical Institute and The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. Earlier, he has served for many years on various types of cargo vessels as a Navigating Officer, including as a Master. He possesses extensive maritime management experience in various areas of Ship Owning and Ship Operations which includes New Projects, Sale & Purchase, Insurance, Technical and Commercial Management as well as Vessel Operations, both, in the container and dry bulk verticals.

Mr. Satish Pillania started his sea career in 1986 and sailed in various foreign flag ships. He served as Chief Engineer and joined Shreyas Shipping Limited as an Engineer Superintendent in March 1997 and continued with newly formed TWSM in May 1998. In June 2003 he was promoted to Head of the Technical Department, and was elevated to Vice President in March 2006. He now leads TWSM as Chief Executive Officer which speaks of his talent and hard work. Mr. Pillania is extremely resourceful and good at troubleshooting, ensuring that vessels operate with minimum delays. He has a skill of managing ships economically and has contributed immensely to the organisation during the economic crisis in the shipping industry. He is very friendly with all staff in TWSM and participates actively in annual get together. He is also well known in the Industry; D.G. Shipping, Classification Societies, Shipping companies in India and abroad.

Capt Allan J Couto, Master Mariner, Member of the institute of chartered shipbroker and auditor, has been with the group since 1988. After commanding various vessels in our fleet, he was the overall in charge of Transworld Shipping in India for over seven years. In 2002 he was inducted in the International division to set up a Transworld office in USA and oversees the trade and logistics services between USA and our other group offices.

Supply Chain Professional with 27 years of experience in Shipping and Logistics industry including 18 years of seafaring experience. Has an in-depth experience of Commercial and Operational management of vessel and container fleets. He has served in various business units within the Group and has exposure to feeder and bulk carrier divisions.
He is a graduate in Nautical Sciences and a Master Mariner with 5 years in command of vessels. Additionally, he holds a post graduate MBA degree from IIM Ahmedabad and a MICS certification. Responsible for heading Avana Liner across all functions, development of the Liner business and entry into new trade lanes.

Mr. B Mannan is an M.Sc., M.Phil., M B A graduate, who started his career as a professor and subsequently a Project Logistics professional with specialization in two diverse industries i.e; Heavy Lift Cargoes Shipping, Chartering & Onshore transport logistics management of Industrial project cargoes. He is heading Transworld Projects Division, based in Dubai and taking care of the Business Development of Transworld Project Logistics services, Heavy Lift handling and Project Forwarding activities, by best utilisation of the Group’s resources.

Mr. Hilton Mike is Chief Operating Officer based out of India, with core responsibility of International Marketing and Feeder business development in Indian Sub-Continent and Far East. An MBA with a liking for oceans and ships, he started his career with Transworld, Dubai in 1994. From Dubai, he went on to serve Transworld in Singapore and Malaysia. Over the last 2 decades in shipping, his experience spreads over the entire gamut of commercial shipping functions covering Sales, Feedering, Terminal operations and Equipment. He is based in India for the last 12 years.
